Virtual audio cable for mac3/15/2023 If more than one program receives the audio signal, Virtual Audio Cable is useful for recording the audio stream of a computer in real time, for example, for transferring sound from audio players, software synthesizers, and for transferring this sound to audio editors for further processing. If more than one application sends audio to a virtual cable, then Virtual Audio Cable mixes the audio together. In general, Virtual Audio Cable's features are very similar to What You Hear or Stereo Mix features of sound cards such as Sound Blaster Live! or Audigy. The transmission takes place entirely in digital form, due to this, the sound quality does not deteriorate. Any application can send its audio stream to the "output" part of the cable, while any other application can receive sound from the "input" part of this virtual cable. The program creates several audio devices in the system, called "virtual cables", each of which contains an input and output device for audio input.
